KEMP Hospice is delighted to have recently received a grant award of £5,000 from the Strengthening Worcestershire Fund, which is offered as a collaboration between Worcestershire Community Foundation (WCF) and Worcestershire County Council (WCC).
“We are so grateful to have been awarded the Strengthening Worcestershire Fund. £5,000 will help us continue our work and could pay for the continuation of the Befriending Service we offer our patients. These fantastic volunteers reduce isolation, provide great support and comfort as they navigate difficult challenges,” said Caroline Beech, Chief Executive at KEMP Hospice.
Grants like the Strengthening Worcestershire Fund are essential and make a real difference in helping to support charities like KEMP, to continue to provide vital services in the community. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Worcestershire Community Foundation and Worcestershire County Council for choosing to award KEMP Hospice.
Representatives from the fund Lucy Wells and Karen McVeigh recently visited KEMP to see the impact of their generous donation and were shown the facilities by Ian Carr, Head of Fundraising and Communications and Chief Executive, Caroline Beech.
Lucy, Director of Worcestershire Community Foundation said, “We were amazed by the breadth of services KEMP offers and the help, and support they provide. It was a pleasure to visit and a privilege to know we have been able to help this fantastic local cause.”
