Find out about KEMP’s TCS London Marathon 2026 Runners

After receiving some fantastic applications, for the very first time, we are incredibly proud to introduce the four amazing individuals who are taking on the ultimate challenge to support KEMP Hospice at the 2026 TCS London Marathon!

Will, Rachel, Rhys and Sam are lacing up their trainers, hitting the pavement, and pushing their limits – all with one shared goal: to raise vital funds for local people facing life-limiting illness and bereavement, as they take on the challenge of a lifetime.

Each one of them has their own fundraising target of £2,500 as well as a unique reason for running, but they all share the same heartfelt commitment to KEMP and the families we care for across the Wyre Forest.

KEMP Hospice's Marathon Heroes, Rachel, Rhys, Will and Sam

Will is running in memory of a relative who benefited from KEMP’s palliative care services, providing dignity and comfort to him and his young family in their hours of need. Will has completed marathons in the past, but this is a bucket list moment!

Rachel, our TikTok star, has only recently gone from Couch to 5K and is now taking on a full marathon! Rachel’s fitness journey is a true testament to her close friend’s memory, showing that small steps can lead to huge achievements.

Rhys works for Harlow Timber, one of KEMP’s amazing charity partners. Rhys is passionate about hospice care and has wanted the opportunity to give back even more to his community. He is proud to be putting in his miles for KEMP!

Sam has been an avid supporter of KEMP for years, taking part in our annual Santa Fun Run as well as half marathons and the upcoming Worcester City Runs, all to raise vital funds for our hospice in loving memory of his grandmother.

If you’d like to cheer on a specific runner, simply visit our general London Marathon Campaign page and click on their individual name to be taken to their personal JustGiving page. There, you can read more about their story and donate directly to help them reach their target.

Together, they’re not just running a marathon; they’re running for a cause that supports patients, families and carers who are living with life-limiting illness and bereavementacross the Wyre Forest and Tenbury Wells.

In the upcoming months, we’ll be sharing their stories, training journeys and fundraising progress. We hope you’ll cheer them on, support their efforts and maybe even feel inspired to take on a challenge of your own!

Follow their progress, sponsor their efforts, or send them some encouragement. Every step they take is a step towards compassionate care for those who need it most.

From all of us at #TeamKEMP – thank you, Rhys, Rachel, Will and Sam. You’ve got this! 🏅

At KEMP Hospice, all our care and support services are provided free of charge. We rely on people who take part in our events to help fundraise and ensure our services remain free of charge now and in the future.

Each year, we must raise around £1.6 million and by signing up to our events, fundraising or sponsoring someone taking on a challenge in aid of KEMP, you will be helping to ensure we can continue to be there for people when they need us.
