A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Bodenham Arboretum for our first KEMP Hospice Moonlight Walk, which has raised over £7,000!
To every single person who walked in memory of a loved one, in celebration of life, or simply to support your local hospice – thank you! Your stories, smiles, laughter, moments of reflection and community spirit are exactly why this event was so magical.✨

KEMP Hospice Moonlight Walk 2026

Walk in memory of someone special, or simply to support local hospice care.
What happened at the Moonlight Walk 2026:
- 🎶 There was music – Dicky Dodd came with music and live entertainment
- 🥤 Delicious food and drink was purchased at the Arboretum
- 🌟 We got warmed up by Hannah Yardley before setting off on the 3km walk
- 🚶A challenging route was conquered, and everyone enjoyed the beautiful views of the Arboretum at night
- 💛 A moment to remember and an option to leave a memory message were taken at the Memory Gazebo.
- 🏅 Supporters celebrated the occasion; everyone who took part received a unique KEMP Moonlight Walk medal and a t-shirt

Who can join the Moonlight Walk Event?
Everyone is welcome and invited to take part!
- Come and take part as a family – Under 8’s go free!
- Get a group of friends and get involved!
- Fancy a solo walk? No problem, a member of the KEMP team will be staying at the back to make sure everyone completes the 3km route.
- Want to join in but don’t feel up to the walk? We’ve got you covered with our special spectator ticket so you don’t miss out on any of the fun!
Make Every Step Count – Who will you be walking for?
The evening is all about fun and friendship, but also a chance to reflect and remember the important people in our lives who are much loved and much missed.
You’ll have chance to take a moment to remember during the walk.
We also have a dedication page where you can honour someone special during our Moonlight Walk by leaving a dedication, sharing a message or adding a favourite photo. You can also make a donation in their memory, helping us continue to provide vital care and support to local people and families.

We’ve been supporting people across the Wyre Forest for over 55 years. All our services at KEMP Hospice are provided free of charge so every pound you raise really does make a difference.
Ticket options for the KEMP Hospice Moonlight Walk:
Adults (Aged 16 and over) – £15.00pp
Youth (Aged 9 to 15) – £10.00pp
Child (Aged 8 and under) – FREE!
Supporter Ticket – £40.00pp. This ticket includes your registration fee and a one-off donation to help support KEMP Hospice. No additional fundraising is required.
Spectator Ticket – £6.00pp. This ticket gives you access to the Visitor Centre at Bodenham Arboretum to enjoy the entertainment on the night but does not include the walk.
We need you to help light up the Moonlight Walk!
To help create the unique and magical atmosphere, we’re asking for donations of:
- Battery and/or solar powered fairy lights / string lights
- Lanterns
- LED candles
- Light-up decorations

Parking is available free of charge and toilets are available at Bodenham Arboretum..
Absolutely! If you’d like to be a part of the fun but can’t take part in the walk, simply purchase a Spectator Ticket.
This will give you access to the Bodenham Arboretum Visitor Centre where you can enjoy the party atmosphere, access the restaurant to purchase refreshments and still be a part of the fun.
Refreshments will be available to purchase in the restaurant in the Bodenham Arboretum Visitor Centre.
The route is approximately 3km and will be a mix of terrains. There are also a couple of inclines along the way.
